According to the Annual Report of the International Pasta Organization (IPO), every year, 14 million tons of pasta are produced worldwide; the organization states that this product is highly recommended to include in a balanced nutritional plan.
Pasta provides a series of hydrates to our body thanks to the substances from which it is made (wheat flour). In specialities such as spaghetti with eggs or tagliatelle with eggs, it provides additional protein.
